Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Sovus Technologies! By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

We provide web development, software development, and related digital services. The scope of work, timelines, and pricing for each project will be defined in individual agreements or proposals.

2. Intellectual Property

All content, code, designs, and documentation created by us remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. After final delivery and payment, ownership will be transferred as specified in the contract.

Client-provided content, logos, and branding remain the property of the client.

3. Payment Terms

Project costs and payment schedules will be clearly defined before work begins. Unless otherwise stated:

  • A deposit may be required to start work

  • Final payment is due upon project completion and before delivery

  • Late payments may incur additional fees

4. Revisions and Changes

We offer a set number of revisions based on the project scope. Any additional changes beyond that may be subject to extra charges. Changes must be requested in writing.

5. Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and will treat all project-related information as confidential. Both parties agree not to share sensitive data with third parties without written consent.

6. Warranties and Limitation

We strive to deliver high-quality, bug-free work. However, we do not guarantee that our services will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services.

7. Third-Party Services

If your project includes third-party tools or services (e.g., hosting, APIs, plugins), we are not responsible for their performance or changes beyond our control.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. In such cases, the client agrees to pay for work completed up to the date of termination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate local jurisdiction.

10. Refund Policy

10.1 General Policy

Due to the nature of custom software and web development services, all sales are generally final once a project has commenced. However, sovus technologies may issue refunds under specific conditions outlined in this section.

10.2 Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • Before Project Initiation: If the project has not yet started, a full refund of any advance payment may be granted upon request.

  • Project Cancellation by Client: If a client cancels a project after it has started, a partial refund may be granted. The refund amount will be calculated based on the work completed up to the cancellation date.

  • Non-Delivery of Services: If we fail to deliver the project or a clearly defined milestone, and a resolution cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe, a partial or full refund may be issued at our discretion.

10.3 Non-Refundable Payments

The following payments are strictly non-refundable:

  • Initial deposits or retainer fees

  • Fees for completed project phases or deliverables

  • Payments for third-party tools, hosting, software licenses, or domain registrations

  • Consultation or strategy session fees

10.4 Refund Request Process

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [support@sovustech.com] within 7 days of the issue or cancellation date. Requests should include a detailed explanation and any relevant documentation. We will respond to all refund requests within 5 to 10 business days.

10.5 Client Responsibilities

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • Delays or delivery issues are due to the client’s failure to provide required information, feedback, or approvals

  • The client requests changes beyond the originally agreed scope

  • The client is dissatisfied with the design or features after approval has been given and development has proceeded

10.6 Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute regarding a refund, both parties agree to attempt resolution through informal negotiation or mediation before pursuing any legal action. Refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of sovus technologies.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
